Over the past summer, the Lunds traveled to the North Shore where the state of Minnesota meets Lake Superior. This is a hauntingly beautiful scene, a wasteland yet luscious. The unyielding waves crash relentlessly on pounded smooth rocks (that my father loves to collect), and just beyond the ocean-sized gales that rush across the Lake lies a quiet, deep green coniferous forest. If you have never been, Thunder Speak highly recommends a visit. The best route is through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).
My family originally discovered Naniboujou Lodge several years ago. It became a favorite destination. The Lodge also featured prominently into my honeymoon (with the world's greatest woman, Samantha!). It has become a favorite of hers as well (they should pay us for all the publicity she gives them as an apologist for the place to her family and co-workers). Enjoy the pictures!
