Due to the generosity of one of Samantha's co-workers, we had the chance to enjoy another Minnesota Wild hockey game. To my extreme enjoyment, they played the Detroit Red Wings, a favorite for many years. The game was terrific, with rallying and decent stick handling. Enough goals were scored in the new NHL, and though the Wild ultimately suffered a loss, we had a terrific time. Samantha is shaping up to be quite a hockey fan, and it is a joy to cheer our team on together.

This year we received a special treat, and had the opportunity to all get together and go skiing at Lutsen, north of Duluth, MN. The weather was terrific, and we took advantage of a semester break and a long weekend. I had a chance to record a few short videos, too, which I will post shortly.

During the holidays, we had the priviledge of attending one of Samantha's girlfriends weddings. Camille and Travis had a lovely wedding, which was a great chance for Sam to reconnect with some of her high school friends. God bless, Travis and Camille!

This last evening spent in 2005 harkened back to the years we closed out every year with the Evelsizer family. This year, there were several welcome additions: Steve's wife Annie, Sarah's husband Steve Gibbs, Samantha, and Alex. May God bless us all in 2006.
